Mphahlele warns of Highlands dangers
Highlands Park are second bottom in the league and among the favourites for the drop, but Mphahlele says they have plenty of quality in their side to worry the in-form Amakhosi.
“I watched their last game [1-1 draw vs Polokwane City] at home and obviously they have a good team,” he told his club’s website. “I am actually surprised why they are at the bottom of the log, because they have good players who have experience of playing at the highest level.
“We have to be at our best if we want to beat them and switch on from the first whistle till the last, and take our chances. In all honesty we are expected to win against them and we want to keep our winning streak going.
“All the games we play are just as important because three points are there for the taking and that is important to us as a team.
“The game this weekend is just as important as the Derby [against Orlando Pirates] and it’s important for us to approach it with the same mentality and passion as we would for the Soweto Derby.”
Chiefs are one point behind Premiership leaders BidVest Wits, but have played two games more.
